Ron Hewson

Ron has been making photogaphs for over thirty years. His list of exhibitions include solo shows at the KW Art Gallery, Robert Langdon Gallery, Homer Watson Gallery and many other galeries across ontario. His favourite subject is the city. Whether its street photography or urban abstracts Ron can capture the magic of urban living. His images range from classic B&W street work in the tradition of Walker Evans and Lee Friedlander to abstract work inspired by Minor White and Harry Callahan. He has also been active in the arts community of Kitchener Waterloo as founding member of Sandhills gallery,Globe Studios, Photo Arts Collective as well as seving as artist in residence for the City of Kitchener.
